The 5@6:45

Jimmy & YvonneCandy + PotterWe do a feature on a few shows called “The Five @ 6:45”.  Each morning at 6:45, the listener plays a trivia game based on a Hot Topic.  Each member of the show’s cast offers up their category, hoping the listener will choose them.  It’s a simple way to give out a prize and to do something those listening at home or in their cars can vicariously play along with.  Here are two versions.  One from Jimmy & Yvonne on DAVE FM, Atlanta and the other from Candy & Potter on KMPS, Seattle.

Spring Break

Spring break is about to happen for college students in every market across the country. Remember those memories of drunken debauchery as kids?   Re-live them by finding a fun female college student who’ll check in with the show each morning at the same time during the week they’re away on break.  The curve ball?  Without her knowing, have her mother on the other line listening in to all the tales of alcohol, sex, and brushes with the police.  Then, once the conversation is done with your female college student, get her mother’s take on what her kid is up to!

Shanny’s Granny

Mojo in the MorningWhat could be more fun than having a cast member’s grandmother sing the hooks to popular hits as listeners vie to win prizes by naming the artist and title of the songs?  On Mojo in the Morning on Channel 95.5, Detroit, Shannon’s grandmother accepts the task.  Marrying the two concepts works to make laughter.  Listen to this segment called “Shanny’s Granny” and hear how they use all of the audio to have fun.
