50 Shades or 50 Cent

What might be fun is finding a very fun person at the station who’ll anchor the game “50 Shades or 50 Cent”.  They read your listener either a line from the book “50 Shades of Grey” or a lyric from a 50 Cent song.  Make sure to have the 50 Cent audio and the passage from audio book of “50 Shades” to prove it and add to the production value of the break.  Thanks to Fernando and Greg, NOW 99.7, San Francisco for this idea.

Fifty Shades of What?

Seems like everywhere you go, women are reading “50 Shades of Grey”.  What might be funny is to approach anyone you see reading the book in the next couple of weeks and play really dumb by asking them what that book is all about.  Pretend like you don’t know.  String together the awkward answers women give you to see how they explain it.

B96 Sings the Anthems

J & JulianThe content plot for J and Julian, B96, Chicago is “multiculturalism”.  Simply put, we have one of everything on this show, which is a direct reflection of P18-34 in a major city like Chicago. We leverage the ethnicity of the show to do different kind of content.  So, the Olympics was an easy putt for us.  Which is why we challenged each member of the team to learn the national anthem of the country of their heritage and sing it to the audience, as though they’d won gold. The audio below is a compilation of the breaks where we did it.  Here is the cast of the show singing the national anthems of China, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Poland.

WNOU Kyle Sends Picture to Sarah

Kyle & RachelOne thing many young people have done is to send a suggestive picture of themselves, via text, to their significant other.  Kyle, from Kyle and Rachel, Radio NOW, Indianapolis’s most listened to morning show never has.  So he made a test during the program and took a naked picture of himself and sent it to his girlfriend of one year, who was not expecting it.  They then called to get her take.

Who Went Where

No doubt when each member of the morning show leaves the building, you go places to run errands and do other things before heading home.  This character building bit is called “Who Went Where”.  Read the list of where one person on the show went and listeners must guess who went to all those places the day before.
