Gentleman or Jerk

Here’s a fun relationships-based feature developed for J & Julian on B96, Chicago you can add called “Gentleman or Jerk”.  A female listener tells you a story about something that happened while on a date with a guy.  Just at the climax of the story, she stops.  Other listeners (or your contestant if you make it a game) must determine if the guy in the story turned out to be a gentleman or a jerk.  You then get the resolution of the story and find out!

Homer Simpson or Jessica Simpson

Karson & KennedyGames work on morning radio, especially if they have a vicarious element to them, where people listening can play along.  Here’s Karson and Kennedy at MIX 104.1, Boston playing “Jessica Simpson or Homer Simpson” where they read something said by one of them, with the listener having to guess who said it.  They get bonus points because they got audio of everything to add a dimension to make people laugh.  The fun part is that everything they read could be said by either person!

The New Year’s Eve Apology

Nothing is better than starting off the new year with an apology!  It’s easy to assume there were acts of misbehavior new years eve that should be apologized for.  As a simple phone topic, open the phones for stories of people who exhibited behavior that was less than noble.  Then choose one, get the offended party on the other line, and facilitate an apology on the air for the actions!

Chris Carr Vacuum Bit

Chris Carr & CompanyEvery show finds dumb stories in the paper or on line to use on their show.  Listen as Chris Carr & Company, on B105, Cincinnati, use one to make their audience laugh.  They not only report the story, they found audio (and doctored it) to make it better.  Listen to the laughter and all the fun listeners have with this.  It’s this kind of break that makes people come back to the show for more!
