It Sucks To Have That Truck

With gas prices off the charts, here’s a fun new game listeners in cars can play along with.  Truck owners call and give you the make and model of their vehicle.  Each person on the show then gets a crack at how much it costs to fill that truck up with gas.  Thanks to Kyle, Bryan, and Sarah, WRAL-FM, Raleigh for this idea.  One guy called and admitted to them it costs $250 to fill up his truck!

March Madness – The Office Pool

No doubt there will be lots of office pools with March Madness kicking off this week.  Each cast member of the show should solicit and join one office pool a listener invites them into.  Then, you can talk with the person coordinating the office pools each Monday through the tournament to see which cast member gets the furthest.

Toddler or Tipsy

Here’s a new game, compliments of Tony and Kris, WIVK, Knoxville called Toddler or Tipsy.  Listeners call with a story of something odd that happened to them.  You must guess if the story occurred when they were a toddler or after they had had a few drinks.

I Need to Tap Out

Everyone is exhausted from everything. So many people want to “tap out” from something going on in their life. Great radio has an emotional connection. Maybe take Covid and bad traffic off the list so you don’t get repeated calls on those topics. Then ask listeners what in their life they want to tap out on.

The Twos of 2/22/22

This Tuesday is an anomaly:  2/22/22.  That will never happen again.  Celebrate number twos all morning long.  If you have a sports team in town, who is the assistant coach (they’re a number two)?  Who’s second in command of your local government (the “assistant mayor”)?  Who is the backup to the person who runs your biggest building?  Celebrating twos, all morning long on 2/22/22.

The Word of Wordle

What would it be like if you gave the Wordle out each morning at 8:00?  The twist is that when you actually say the word, you play a beep.

Super Bowl Star Spangled Banner

Tons of people have done the National Anthem at the Super Bowl over the years.  Go find videos of all of them and do a compilation Star Spangled Banner featuring a bunch of them.  Play that compilation version each day this week and give listeners a shot to figure out who all the artists are.

Regular Person Olympics

The Winter Olympics start in a few days.  Choose a few of the events and give one or two to each cast member of the show, who is tasked with trying that event.  Do audio for the show and video for social media.  And call it Regular Person Olympics.  Thanks to Kyle, Bryan, and Sarah, WRAL-FM, Raleigh for this idea.

They Came For the Money

New year, new game called They Came For the Money.  So many artists allow their songs to be used in advertising (some of them strange marriages).  Play the audio of the ad (with the product name bleeped) and the listener needs to guess the brand that the song is being used to hawk.

Spice Up Your Spouse

With Valentine’s Day not too far off, here’s a promotion you can do where you take calls from women about how lame their husband has become celebrating the holiday.  She can complain about his lack of imagination when it comes to gifts and how he treats her.  You then give him a VD makeover to improve things.  And call it Spice Up Your Spouse.
